The small, but mighty, Shelbyville girls swim team swept Indian Creek and Connersville in dual meets Thursday at Shelbyville.
The Golden Bears defeated Indian Creek, 50-34, and Connersville, 52-41.
The Golden Bears won all but the final two relay events. Naomi Garringer, Anne Marie Fansler, Paige Bohman and Riley Everette each won two individual events.
Garringer won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:22.56 and the 100 backstroke in 1:10.70.
Fansler earned first-place points in the 200 individual medley (2:41.40) and the 100 breaststroke (1:20.39).
Bohman was the fastest in the 50 freestyle (27.48) and the 100 freestyle (1:01.77).
Everette won the 100 butterfly in 1:01.45 and the 500 freestyle in 6:09.62.
Chloe Claxton finished first in the diving event with 172.15 points.
Shelbyville won the opening 200 medley relay in 2:15.87 with Garringer, Fansler, Everette and Ana Felipe.
The Golden Bears lost a pair of tightly contested dual meets with Indian Creek (59-41) and Connersville (55-45).
Brody Jeanette secured a pair of wins for Shelbyville. He finished first in the 200 freestyle in 1:55.98 and first in the 500 freestyle in 5:22.17.
Anderson Mollenkopf placed runner-up in the 50 freestyle (24.56) and John Turner was second in the diving event (138.70).
Mollenkopf and Jeanette teamed with Luca Kinker and Everett Stegemiller to finish runner-up in the 200 freestyle relay (1:44.87).
Kinker, Turner, Kendryk Pike and Shia Veach placed second in the 400 freestyle relay (4:33.75).
