
Triton Central boys soccer had scored one goal all season before Monday’s clash with Rushville.
The Tigers erupted for six goals and secured their first win of the season, 6-0 over the Lions (1-7).
Liam Thompson led Triton Central (1-6-1) with two goals.
Also scoring for the Tigers were Nick Tormoehlen, Dylan Hayden, Sam Woods and Evan Mitchell.
Triton Central is at Providence Cristo Rey (4-2-1) Wednesday.

Boys soccer
Greensburg 4, Southwestern 2
At Greensburg, Lucas Kramer scored three consecutive goals to improve the Pirates to 5-2-1 this season.
Class A, No. 11 Southwestern (6-2) took the first lead when Ethan Sipes scored his fourth goal of the season with 24 minutes left in the opening half.
Kramer scored his first goal 15 minutes later and the game went to halftime tied.
Kramer then scored twice in the first 20 minutes of the second half to make it 3-1 and Wyatt Yake added an insurance goal inside the final three minutes.
Sipes added a second goal with 15 minutes to go.
The Spartans return to action Thursday against Knightstown (0-4-1).
Girls soccer
Triton Central 5, Perry Meridian 0
At Perry Meridian, the Tigers scored two first-half goals to build a lead which was more than enough for goalkeeper Cheyenne Allen and her defense to complete their fifth shutout win of the season.
Rylee Pruitt scored a pair of goals for Triton Central (4-1-1). Brynne Aukerman, Madelyn Burnett and Ariel Walker also scored against the Falcons (3-5). Walker was credited with three assists.
Triton Central is at Shelbyville (5-3) Thursday.
Boys tennis
Eastern Hancock 4, Triton Central 1
At Eastern Hancock, the Tigers’ lone match victory came at No. 1 doubles where Max Crouse and Caleb McGuire improved to 8-2 this season with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Jalen Helderbrand and Ross Wenne.
The Royals won three set matches at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles. At No. 1 singles, Luke Zeilinga defeated Janssen Capps, 6-1, 2-6, 6-1. And Parker Robertson and Teddy Hannah bested Drayton Kermode and Graham Gast at No. 2 doubles, 6-2, 5-7, 6-2.
Luke Fletcher defeated Triton Central’s Brayden Hoover at No. 2 singles, 7-5, 7-6 (3). And Josiah Swauger topped Bradyn Robinson at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-2.
Waldron 5, Southwestern 0
At Waldron, the host Mohawks (4-3) did not lose a game while sweeping all five matches in straight sets.
At No. 1 singles, Cash Young defeated Kyle Beck, 6-0, 6-0. Lincoln Fischer prevailed over David Coulston, 6-0, 6-0. And Ethan Moody topped Andrew Pile, 6-0, 6-0.
At No. 1 doubles, Caige Sheaffer and Owen Hartman defeated Caleb McDonald and Kent Gosser, 6-0, 6-0. And Noah Mitchell and Connor Ping defeated Ryder Scott and Liam Tsukano, 6-0, 6-0.
Volleyball
Columbus East def. Shelbyville, 22-25, 27-25, 25-18, 25-16
At Garrett Gymnasium in Shelbyville, the Olympians (8-9) rallied after losing the first set to the Golden Bears to win the next three.
Jordyn Noe and Lyla Wilson each had 10 kills for Shelbyville (4-6). The duo combined for seven service aces.
Alivia Lee finished with nine kills and 18 digs. Sydney Haehl had a team-high 29 digs. Addison Wooten finished with 26 digs.
Addy Marshall collected 34 assists.
Shelbyville hosts New Castle tonight.
Triton Central def. Morristown, 25-16, 25-10, 25-16
At Triton Central, Lucy May led the victorious Tigers with 13 kills.
Gwyn Williams delivered six aces. Alaina Darlage had 12 digs and Audrey Darlage finished with 16 assists.
Morristown won the junior varsity match, 22-25, 25-23, 18-16. Anna Kemper had 10 digs and 20 assists for Triton Central.
Triton Central improved to 8-5. The Tigers are at Greenwood (4-7) Wednesday.
With the loss, Morristown drops to 3-7. The Yellow Jackets host Hauser (4-9) tonight.
