
Class A, No. 12 Southwestern improved to 5-1 this season with a 6-0 win Thursday over Milan.
The victory was career win No. 100 for head coach Taylor Meredith.
Ethan Sipes and Josh Karr scored first-half goals to give Southwestern a lead at halftime. Will Stamper, Landon Drake, Mo Eckert and Jay Brown added second-half goals to finish off Milan (1-5).
Chandler Holt and Jay Utley combined for seven saves in goal to preserve the shutout.
The Spartans are at KIPP Academy today.

At Clifty Creek Golf Course, Julie Garrison led the Golden Bears to the win with a 53. Hana Stenger followed at 54.
Also competing for Shelbyville were Maya Burgess (58), Riley Everette (58), Sophia Asher (60), Maddy Jones (61), Sophia Bragg (63) and Lilly Huesman (68).
Boys soccer
Franklin Central 10, Shelbyville 1
At Franklin Central, the Flashes improved to 2-6-1 this season with a Senior Night victory over the Golden Bears (2-4).
Shelbyville is at Zionsville (2-3-1) Tuesday.
Speedway 6, Triton Central 0
At Speedway, the host Sparkplugs improved to 4-1-1 this season and 2-0 in the Hoosier Legends Conference standings with a shutout victory over Triton Central (0-5-1, 0-2 HLC).
Triton Central is at Decatur Central (1-3-1) Saturday.

Shelbyville 3, Indian Creek 0
At Indian Creek, Ava Van Wye scored two goals, and Cassie Pike found the back of the net to improve the Golden Bears to 5-2.
Lucille Haacker collected the shutout in goal.
Indian Creek dropped to 3-4.
The Golden Bears are at New Palestine (4-3) Saturday.

At New Palestine, Shelbyville collected match wins at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles.
At No. 2 singles, Kashton Laycock defeated Tyler Walter, 6-1, 6-3.
Shelbyville’s No. 1 doubles team of Aiden Smith and Wyatt Armstrong improved to 8-1 this season with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Luke Bartuseck and Gavin Berry.
Jax Clark and Davis Harrison topped Shelbyville’s Aiden Alton and Jack Van Wye at No. 2 doubles, 6-2, 6-4.
At No. 1 singles, New Palestine’s Carson Rush bested Reece Prickett, 6-4, 6-4. And Brock Hehmann defeated Bram Kolkmeier at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-4.
Shelbyville dropped to 5-4 overall and 2-2 in the Hoosier Heritage Conference standings. The Golden Bears are at Hauser Saturday.
Triton Central 5, Decatur Central 0
At Decatur Central, the visiting Tigers upped their record to 6-3 this season with a strong performance against the Hawks.
Janssen Capps, Brayden Hoover and Bradyn Robinson lost just five games while sweeping the singles matches.
At No. 1 doubles, Max Crouse and Caleb McGuire blanked Luis Sanchez-Gonzalez and Caleb Throop, 6-0, 6-0.
Drayton Kermode and Graham Gast defeated Hunter Willis and Tylor Collins, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Waldron 4, Trinity Lutheran 1
At Waldron, the host Mohawks won a pair of three-set matches to secure the victory over Trinity Lutheran.
At No. 1 singles, Waldron’s Cash Young prevailed over Jack Stuckwisch, 6-0, 4-6, 6-3.
In a first-time pairing at No. 2 doubles, Owen Hartman and Noah Mitchell defeated Zach Lister and Ross Bevers, 4-6, 6-4, 6-0.
Waldron also got match wins from Lincoln Fischer (6-2, 6-3) and the pairing of Jackson Kuhn and Caige Sheaffer (6-0, 6-1).
Trinity Lutheran’s only win came at No. 3 singles where Daniel Naewedde defeated Connor Ping, 6-1, 6-1.
Waldron (3-3) is at the Silver Creek Invitational today.
Volleyball
Triton Central def. Trinity Lutheran, 25-22, 12-25, 25-17, 25-21
At Triton Central, Lucy May led the victorious Tigers (7-4) with 21 kills in the four-set victory over the Cougars.
Audrey Darlage collected 31 assists and Gwyn Williams finished with 24 digs.
Rachel Bonde and Bailey Bonde combined for 23 kills to lead Trinity Lutheran (6-6). Bella Wehmiller finished with 40 assists.
The Tigers have won four straight matches and put that win streak on the line Saturday at Heritage Christian (4-3).
Triton Central won the junior varsity match, 25-15, 25-13. Madison Swisher led the Tigers with three service aces.
