
The Indiana High School Athletic Association announced the sectional pairings Sunday for the 32nd Annual Boys Soccer State Tournament.
A total of 312 boys teams will begin competing in sectional tournaments held Oct. 6-11. Regional semifinals are Oct. 15-16 with regional championship matches held on Oct. 18. Semistate championships are Oct. 25.
The state championship matches will be played Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 at Michael Carroll Stadium at IU Indianapolis.
Class 3A, Sectional 13
Shelbyville received a quarterfinal round bye in the seven-team sectional hosted by Whiteland.
The Golden Bears (6-8) will face either East Central (8-3-3) or Whiteland (6-8) in the semifinals.
The other quarterfinal matches are Franklin (4-10) against Columbus North (5-4-4) and Center Grove (5-6-3) battling Columbus East (10-4-1).
Class 2A, Sectional 26
Triton Central avoided a quarterfinal round match in the six-team sectional hosted by the Tigers at Mendenhall Field in Fairland.
The sectional opens with Connersville (7-7-1) taking on Centerville (7-3). Match two features New Castle (3-10-1) against Rushville (2-10-3). The two winners return for a semifinal round match at Mendenhall Field.
The Tigers (4-10-1) take on Greensburg (8-5-1) in the other semifinal.
Class A, Sectional 42
Morristown (3-7-2) will face Knightstown (1-8-3) in a sectional quarterfinal round match at the Indianapolis Lutheran Sectional. The Yellow Jackets and Panthers are scheduled to meet Tuesday in a regular season match at Morristown.
The winner of the sectional match will face either Central Christian (3-5) or No. 18 Indianapolis Lutheran (4-8-1) in the semifinals.
The sectional opener pits Christel House (6-6-1) against Providence Cristo Rey (6-3-2). The winner advances to face No. 4 Greenwood Christian (8-3-2) in the semifinals.
Class A, Sectional 43
A trio of top 20 teams will battle in the six-team sectional hosted by Southwestern (Shelby).
The sectional open with No. 19 Southwestern (Hanover) (9-1-3) taking on No. 11 Shawe Memorial (9-1-2). The winner will face either the host Spartans, ranked No. 13, or Hauser (9-4-1) who meet in the other quarterfinal contest.
In the other semifinal, Austin (1-10-2) takes on Trinity Lutheran (7-6).
