The Stewardson (Strasburg) Hatchets jumped out to a big lead but then had to hold off a Salukis rally in the top of the 7th inning Thursday to beat Red Hill 4-2 in the semi-finals of the Class 1A Altamont Baseball Regional.
They scored 2 in the bottom of the 2nd and single runs in both the 3rd and 6th to lead 4-0 before the Salukis scored twice in the top of the 7th but could get no more.
