William Blakley, 73, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at his residence.
Born December 15, 1952 in Hazard County, Kentucky, he was the son of Caleb and Ellie (Sturgill) Blakley. He married Kathleen (Gee) Blakley on June 26, 1981, and she survives.
Other survivors include a son Michael Blakley of Cincinnati, Ohio; 7 grandchildren- April, Austin, Cierra, Stephanie, Mikey, Olivia, and Brian; and 10 great grandchildren- Briella, Oliver, Aubrey, Roman, Willow, Avery, Oakley, Draven, Gracelyn, and Scarlett. He was preceded in death by his parents, and seven brothers and sisters.
Mr. Blakley had lived in this area since 1982, after moving from Cincinnati. He retired from Knauf Fiber Glass after 22 years of service, and after retirement worked for Petit's Salvage for five years.
William enjoyed camping, fishing, and music. He loved the outdoors and outdoor activities.
