The Vincennes Police Department recently issued a statement regarding school violence threats.
The statement says that the department is aware of recent threats of school violence via social media and are taking necessary precautions by increasing their police presence in and around the city schools. Parents are also being asked to speak to their children about the importance of social media responsibility and accountability and that any threats will be dealt with accordingly. The department did emphasize that there is no current threat involving any Vincennes schools.
