The Water Street Townhouses are expected to be ready for occupancy in January.
Tuesday evening, members of the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission were given an update on the project by City Attorney Jeff Houin.
The alley between Michigan and Water Streets has been demoed in preparation for paving. Houin said additional concrete work on the north end of the development behind Dr. Joel Schumacher’s Office caused a delay. The concrete work along Water Street in front of the townhouses and on the south end along the retail space still has to be completed.

Paving contractor Phend and Brown plans to complete the alley and parking lot this month, although the project is weather-dependent. It was noted that once paving is finished, the alley will be open, but the parking lot will remain closed until construction is complete.

Houin informed commission members that the street lighting has been roughed in, and the siding crew will be on site this week to complete the front siding and awning above the doorways.
The mechanical units have been installed on the inside, and drywall is underway. For additional information, check out www.water-street-townhomes.com
