It occurred on a spur that serves the coal-fired Duke Energy Gibson Plant in Owensville.
A locomotive and several railcars left the tracks around 2 a.m. (CST) with both a Norfolk Southern engineer and conductor hurt in the mishap. They were both hospitalized.
