The National Weather Service has continued flood warnings for three area rivers due to rising waters. The flood warning for the Wabash River at Vincennes has been extended to Friday February 9th. The river was last measured Wednesday at just over 15 feet at Vincennes and was expected to rise above the 16 foot flood stage sometime Wednesday afternoon or evening. It is expected to crest at over 18 feet this weekend. The flood warnings also continue for both the White River at Edwardsport in southwestern Indiana and the Little Wabash River at Clay City in southeastern Illinois with moderate to minor flooding anticipated
