Monday night the Plymouth Park Board opened bids for a new mower. Superintendent Mike Hite said they are trading in a 2010 John Deere commercial mower.
Three John Deere dealerships offered bids for a 2025, zero-turn, diesel, Z997R commercial mower with a 70-inch deck.
The bid from John Deer of Knox was $21,245.
The bid from GreenMark Equipment in Plymouth was $19,675.
The bid from Monticello John Deer was $21,135.
Superintendent Mike Hite asked the board to allow him to review the bids, determine the lowest and most responsive bid, and then move forward with the purchase. The Plymouth Park Board approved his request.
