Employees for the City of Plymouth could see a 3.5% rise in their salaries next year.
On July 22nd the Plymouth Common Council heard the first reading of an ordinance that would increase salaries by up to 3.5% to almost all appointed officers, employees, and fire and police personnel for 2025.
City Attorney Jeff Houin said most employees will receive the 3.5% increase although there are some other adjustments that are specific to different positions where the increase may be different.
City Clerk-Treasurer Lynn Gorski commented that longevity was also changed. She said the increase for civilian employees from $50 to $75 with a cap of $1,500. Emergency services personnel will increase from $225 up to $250 with a cap of $5,000.
The Council is expected to approve the 2025 Salary Ordinance at their next meeting on Monday, August 12th.
