An Illinois driver was arrested by county police after radar showed he was driving 94 MPH in a 60 MPH speed zone.
On Monday, June 9th, at about 3:00 a.m. Deputy Johnson with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was sitting stationary running radar on U.S. 30 and U.S. 31 when he observed a Toyota SUV with an Illinois plate traveling west on U.S. 30 at what appeared to be a high rate of speed. The Deputy activated his front radar and determined the vehicle was speeding. A traffic stop was initiated near U.S. 30 and Oak Drive in Plymouth.
The driver, 33-year-old Edwin Diaz Contreras, was found to be driving without a driver's license. He was arrested, transported to the Marshall County Jail, and booked in at 3:15 a.m. for operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license. His $100 cash bond was paid at 3:36 a.m., and Diaz Contreras was released on bond.

They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
