The recent rain over the area has caused rises in river levels across the region.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has now issued a Flood Warning for the Embarras River at Lawrenceville for Tuesday through Wednesday.
Tuesday morning, the river was at 29.7 feet and rising. It is forecast to top the 30-foot flood stage late Tuesday and crest at 30.1 feet. It will then begin to fall and drop below flood sometime on Wednesday.
Some minor flooding is anticipated along the river, but not to the extent of recent flood levels over the last two weeks.
