The Fulton County Sheriff's Office has been made aware of a scam targeting local residents via text messages claiming to be from the DMV about outstanding traffic tickets.
These messages may:
Claim you owe fines
Include links to fake websites
Threaten legal action if you don't pay immediately
Important Reminder:
The BMV does not send text messages demanding payment.
Do not click on any suspicious links.
Do not share personal or payment information.
If you receive one of these texts, report it immediately and delete it.
