Plymouth Police Officers arrested two Fort Wayne residents on Tuesday for separate driving-related violations, according to reports from the Plymouth Police Department.

The first arrest occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Oak Road and U.S. 30. During a routine traffic stop, an officer determined that the driver, Olivia Danielle Lynn Anderson, 26, of Fort Wayne, was operating her vehicle while her driving privileges were suspended.

Anderson was transported to the Marshall County Jail and charged with driving while suspended with a prior conviction.

In a second incident later that afternoon, Plymouth Police conducted another traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 31 and U.S. 30 at approximately 3:45 p.m. Officers initiated the stop after discovering that the vehicle's registered owner had a suspended license.

While the registered owner was not driving at the time, the individual behind the wheel, Dany Sagastume, 24, also of Fort Wayne, informed officers that he had never obtained a driver's license.

Sagastume was placed under arrest for operating a vehicle as a never-licensed driver and was booked into the Marshall County Jail. The vehicle was subsequently impounded by Lyons Towing.

Both incidents occurred on February 17 and are part of ongoing traffic enforcement efforts by the Plymouth Police Department.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
