A 31-year-old Plymouth man was taken into custody early Saturday morning after officers responding to a noise complaint discovered he had an active warrant and had violated a court-issued protection order.

Plymouth Police were dispatched to 701 North Center Street at 4:36 a.m. on Saturday, May 9th, in response to a loud noise complaint. Upon arriving at the scene, officers determined that a male resident at the address, identified as Dario Carvajal-Santos, had an active warrant for his arrest through Marshall County. Officers also discovered that Carvajal-Santos had violated a court-issued protection order.

Carvajal-Santos was taken into custody without incident, transported to the Marshall County Jail, and booked on charges of invasion of privacy and a misdemeanor failure to appear.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
