Lawrence County has a new Animal Control Officer.
It was announced Wednesday at the monthly county board meeting in Lawrenceville that Raegan Thacker has been hired for the position. She is from Olney and takes over for Maggie Carter, who was terminated January 20th. She was among four candidates interviewed by the Building and Grounds Committee late last week and was offered the job during an executive session prior to the meeting. Thacker will begin her new duties on Monday, March 9th.
