The vehicles will be built at the company’s Mishawaka Manufacturing Campus in Indiana.

This contract is both a validation of Congress’s support for the Humvee and a proud achievement for our state and the team at AM General. Winning the JLTV contract positions AM General for decades to come, will pave the way for more high-paying jobs in Mishawaka and across the state, and solidifies Indiana’s position as a state that works for America’s national security,” said Senator Todd Young.
“Hoosier manufacturing is second to none, and I join my colleagues in congratulating AM General for winning this competitive Army contract to produce an important vehicle for our soldiers right here in Indiana,” said Senator Mike Braun.
“Today’s announcement is a huge win for Mishawaka and the greater South Bend - Elkhart region. This contract award means more, good-paying jobs in Indiana’s Second District. The fact that Hoosier hands will be building this iconic vehicle that plays such an important in our nation’s defense capabilities is a testament to Indiana’s workforce. I am grateful the Army recognized AM General for the world-class manufacturer that it is, and look forward to seeing the fruits of this incredible investment in our community,” said Congressman Rudy Yakym.
