Rides Mass Transit District (RMTD) has announced it is implementing a streamlined fare and pass pricing option structure updated for the first time since 2018.
It will begin on Monday July 1st. Passengers will be offered various cash fare options for both in county and out of county trips on demand and also via fixed route over various age levels and also a local transit pass for people with disabilities. For more specific information, customers can visit the ridesmtd.com website. Additionally, the RMTD will cease weekly trips to St Louis effective on Friday August 9th. RMTD is the largest rural public transit district in Illinois covering 17 counties with service, including Lawrence.
