The Plymouth Park Department has created a spooky season scavenger hunt across its parks this month, inviting residents to search for small glass pumpkins hidden throughout the community and turn them in for prizes.
Each week, glass pumpkins are hidden in a different park. Those who find one can return it to the Plymouth Park Office in Centennial Park to claim a prize. The pumpkins must be turned back in so they can be rehidden for the next person to find.
Pumpkins are hidden in River Park Square this week through October 16. Next week, the pumpkins will be in Hand Park at the Webster Recreation Center through October 23, and the scavenger hunt wraps up in Centennial Park from October 26–30.
While the tiny glass pumpkins are darling, the park department reminds participants to turn them in to the Park Office in Centennial Park for a prize, so the pumpkins can be hidden again for others to enjoy.
