Members of the Parke Heritage High School National Honor Society (NHS) recently demonstrated the power of community support by hosting a highly successful food drive. The effort resulted in the donation of 470 pounds of food items to the Parke County Food Pantry, providing much-needed assistance to local families in need.
The food drive was made possible through the generosity of students, staff, and community members who contributed to the cause. NHS members personally delivered the donations to the Food Pantry, where they were met with appreciation from volunteers.
National Honor Society members that assisted in the delivery are front- Evie Virotsko, Marcia Carroll, Pam Todd, Connie Norman; back- Cate O’Brien, Ruth Fulwider, Tammy Guoli, Vicki Kremer, Treyton Burgess, Raegan Ramsay and Emma Simpson.
The Parke Heritage NHS continues to make a positive impact by combining leadership and service, ensuring that their efforts support their community in meaningful ways. The Food Pantry expressed gratitude for the students’ contributions, noting the significant difference the donations will make.
