Parke County law enforcement report dealing with an impaired driver involved in a Sunday crash.
Deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on US 41, north of Coxville Road. Deputies arrived on scene and observed a vehicle sitting in the ditch on the west side of the highway. Deputies made contact with the driver, Tamala Clarkston, 61, of Clinton, who displayed numerous signs of impairment.
Clarkston was transported to Union Hospital Clinton by ambulance to be checked out. While at the hospital, the Parke County Sheriff's Department reports that Clarkston consented to a chemical blood test. Her Blood Alcohol Concentration was found to be 0.280.
Clarkston was transported to the Parke County Jail after being released from the hospital and held at the Parke County Jail on a $8000 - no 10% bond.
