The City of Greensburg and Decatur County have launched the official website for the Park Road Forward project, a major infrastructure effort to fully reconstruct West Park Road in Greensburg from County Road 200 West to Broadway Street.
The new website, www.parkroadforward.com, will serve as the primary source for updates, construction schedules, maps, design renderings, and answers to frequently asked questions. With construction on Phases 1 and 2 beginning in 2028, the website will be regularly updated as the project progresses through planning, engineering, and implementation.
Residents are encouraged to visit the website to stay informed and engaged throughout the life of the project. The website is designed to help address community questions and provide a clear picture of how Park Road will transform over the coming years—improving safety, increasing connectivity, and supporting future residential growth along the corridor.
“The Park Road Forward project has been a community priority for decades, and with a clear plan in place – this project is poised to become a reality,” said Greensburg Mayor Joshua Marsh. “We want our residents to be informed and involved every step of the way. The Park Road Forward website ensures everyone has access to accurate, up-to-date information as we prepare for this transformative project.”
The Park Road Forward project is funded through a combination of federal and local dollars, with over $22 million in federal infrastructure support awarded through the Indiana Department of Transportation’s (INDOT) Local Public Agency (LPA) program. The Park Road Forward project will be constructed in five phases. When completed, the corridor will feature two travel lanes, stormwater improvements, curbs and gutters, new sidewalks, and an 8-foot-wide multi-use trail that enhances safety and accessibility for all users.
