The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a series of overnight lane and ramp closures affecting I-74 and I-65 for overhead sign structure work in Indianapolis.
The following closures are scheduled to begin next week, weather permitting:
- Monday, April 21, through Thursday, April 24 (midnight to 3 a.m. each night): I-74 westbound ramp to I-465 closed
- Official detour: Southeastern Avenue to Arlington Avenue to Brookville Road
- Monday, April 21 (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.): Left lane of I-74 eastbound and westbound closed between Post Road and I-465
- Monday, April 21 (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.): Right lane of I-65 southbound closed between Hanna Avenue and I-465; ramps remain open
- Tuesday, April 22, and Wednesday, April 23 (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.): Right lane of I-74 westbound closed between Post Road and I-465
INDOT reminders drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and use extra caution while traveling in and around work zones. All work is weather-dependent and subject to change.
