Northern Indiana Public Service Company LLC (NIPSCO) announced Sunday that it will continue its pause on residential service disconnections for nonpayment through May 15.
The extension is part of the utility company's ongoing commitment to supporting customers who are dealing with the rising costs of everyday living.
“Many families are still making tough choices and energy bills are part of that,” said Vince Parisi, NIPSCO President and Chief Operating Officer. “This is about keeping customers connected and giving them time and support to find a payment solution that works for their situation.”
In addition to extending the pause on service disconnections, NIPSCO is strongly encouraging customers who may be experiencing financial challenges to explore the various assistance options available to them.
The company's stated goal is to keep customers connected safely and responsibly by working directly with them to identify financial solutions that best fit their individual circumstances.
Customers looking to learn more about available assistance programs and payment solutions can visit the company's dedicated support page at NIPSCO.com/FinancialSupport.
