The National Weather Service officially canceled the Flood Warning for the Yellow River in Marshall County at noon on Monday. The cancellation comes after heavy rainfall over the last several days pushed the river to a crest of 12.88 feet.
The river was initially placed under a Flood Warning on Sunday morning when the Plymouth river gauge reported water levels at 12.8 feet. While the river is now slowly receding, emergency officials caution that flood impacts are still expected to linger over the next few days as the water drains.
Marshall County Emergency Management, in coordination with the Marshall County Highway Department and the Plymouth Street Department, continues to monitor road conditions closely.
