McCormick’s Creek State Park was severely damaged by a tornado in Spring 2023.
The park’s Canyon Inn opened and offered an Easter buffet days later.
Many park trails remained closed, and the campground was closed into October. No new reservations for camping at McCormick’s Creek were accepted for arrival dates through the end of last year.
More trail openings are now scheduled for Friday.

Trail 2: 1 mile moderate hike to see the Old Statehouse Quarry and takes you through McCormick`s Cove Nature Preserve
Trail 3: .8 mile hike in the Echo Canyon along McCormick`s Creek and ends with a scenic view of the Waterfall.
