The Mayor’s Summer of Music kicks off next Friday evening, July 5th in River Park Square at 7 p.m. and continues every Friday evening at 7 for 10 consecutive weeks.
These free concerts are family-friendly from 7 to 10 p.m. and include several food trucks and the ability to bring your coolers with the beverages of your choice.
This year's series kicks off on Friday, July 5th with Mr. Funnyman. Mr. Funnyman is the ultimate variety band in Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland performing a wide range of different cover music including but not limited to Micheal Jackson, Pink Floyd, Aretha Franklin, Chicago, ABBA, Bruno Mars, The Beatles, Elton John, Leonard Skynyrd, Steely Dan, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, The Who and dozens of other artists that would make this list too long.
On Friday, July 12th Dead to Rights takes the stage. They are a Grateful Dead tribute band.
On Friday, July 19th Small Town comes to Plymouth. They are the country’s #1 John Mellencamp experience.
The Cold Hearts perform in River Park Square on Friday, July 26th. They are Indiana’s best honky tonk country band.
On Friday, August 2nd the Rock Dogs return to Plymouth for an encore performance. This is also the Plymouth High School all-alumni event although everyone is welcome to join the fun.
On Friday, August 9th Echoes of Pompe hit The Senter Stage. This Pink Floyd tribute band from Gary Indiana is made up of regular hard-working members, who come together on stage to perform the best music, from the best band rock and roll has produced in the past 50 years.
The small-town local band This Homemade Conspiracy makes its second appearance at the Mayor’s Summer of Music on Friday, August 16th. This band has performed at many events including the Blueberry Festival.
On Friday, August 23rd River Park Square will rock with the Justin Staublin Band. The Justin Staublin Band covers 70 years of Pop, Rock, and Folk music, including The Beatles, Mumford & Sons, Johnny Cash, and CCR
Amarillo Sky is a country band that rocks. Comprised of great musicians from the Michiana area, they are a modern country cover band and will take control of the stage in River Park Square on Friday, August 30th.
The final performance for the 2024 Mayor’s Summer of Music is Friday, September 6th with Blammo. With 24 years of performing, Blammo will perform a variety of songs from the past seven decades.
The Mayor’s Summer of Music is provided by many sponsors and no tax dollars are used for the series of concerts in River Park Square.
