A week ago, Mayor Robert Listenberger hosted about 20 young adults who attended an event at Opie’s in downtown Plymouth. The mayor wanted to discuss the things Plymouth needs in the community to keep young people working, living, and raising a family in the city.
The mayor said, “The enthusiasm of these young folks was really appreciated, and they are eager to continue meeting.” He said they will be joining the city’s Comprehensive Plan Committee as a part of the Empowerment subcommittee, where they promote all voices being heard.
The mayor said they shared a bunch of suggestions and some actionable items that could be put into committees for implementation.
City Councilwoman Kayla Krathwohl attended and said it was exciting to hear some of their ideas.
Participants were asked to complete a questionnaire and provide their contact information for continued involvement.
If you are interested in participating but were unable to attend the mayor’s first event, you are encouraged to send your feedback to mayor@plymouthin.com. You can also share if you want to be included in additional gatherings.
