The community’s largest annual food drive will occur this Saturday, May 10, as the National Association of Letter Carriers sponsors the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

All food collected in Plymouth will be delivered to the Bread of Life Food Pantry and the Neighborhood Center.

Postal customers are asked to place non-perishable food donations by their mailboxes this Saturday. Letter carriers or volunteers will collect the donations and return them to the post office, where distribution will happen.

Most-needed items include:

  • Canned meat
  • Canned fruit
  • Canned vegetables

Please do not donate expired or open food or items in glass jars.

Stamp Out Hunger is a nationwide initiative sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers, the United States Postal Service, and the Rural Letter Carriers Association.

Food collected in other regions will be distributed to local hunger relief organizations in those communities.
