Judge Matthew Sarber to explore the U.S. Constitution at Friday's Brown Bag Lecture

With the nation approaching its 250th birthday, the Marshall County Historical Society is keeping the conversation going about the ideas and documents that made America possible.

The third installment in the Historical Society's America's 250 Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture series is set for this Friday, June 12th, from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Marshall County Historical Society & Museum, 123 North Michigan Street in downtown Plymouth.

Judge Matthew Sarber will lead the presentation, taking attendees on an engaging exploration of the U.S. Constitution — the founding principles behind it, the influence of the Federalist Papers, and the governmental framework the nation's founders worked to establish. Just as relevant to today, Judge Sarber plans to draw connections between those enduring principles and current events, with a question-and-answer session expected to spark lively and meaningful conversation.

The Brown Bag series, which focuses on the Revolutionary War era as part of the broader America's 250 commemoration, has become a popular community gathering thanks to its relaxed, midday format. Participants are encouraged to pack a lunch and settle in for an hour of informal but thought-provoking discussion.
