The Indiana Department of Transportation announces single-lane closures and rolling slowdowns that will impact I-70 in both directions during the evening hours.
Beginning on or after Monday, April 20, INDOT contractors will reduce I-70 westbound between Hyde Street and County Road 425 W. to one lane during the following times:
9 p.m. and 8 a.m. on weekdays,
9 p.m. and 9 a.m. Friday to Saturday
9 p.m. and noon Saturday to Sunday
The eastbound lanes will be impacted in the same location during the following times:
9 p.m. and 7 a.m. on weekdays
9 p.m. and 9 a.m. Friday to Saturday
9 p.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday to Sunday.
The purpose of this work is for the ongoing State Road 42 bridge replacement over I-70. S.R. 42 remains closed.
Work during this phase of construction is anticipated to last until July, with the entire project anticipated to finish in September.
