One person was killed in a two vehicle wrong way accident late Wednesday night in southwestern Indiana. The Indiana State Police (ISP) and Gibson County (Ind) Sheriffs Department say that preliminary reports indicate that at around 11:30 p.m., a 57 year old male subject from West Palm Beach, Florida was traveling south on US 41 near CR 550 South in the northbound lane in a 2017 Nissan and ran headon into a 2017 northbound 2017 Chevrolet whose driver was 37 year old Leanna Morris of Mt Carmel, Ill. The Florida man was pronounced dead at the scene. Morris was transported to Deaconess Midtown in Evansville where she was listed in serious condition. The northbound lanes of US 41 were closed for two hours to allow for the accident investigation and cleanup of the wreckage.
