On Tuesday at 7:28 p.m., the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center broadcast a report of a two-vehicle personal injury accident near the intersection of Queen Road and 7th Road west of Plymouth.
Marshall County Sheriff's deputies and Plymouth Fire and EMS responded to the scene. Officer Truty investigated the accident and discovered that a 2020 JCB forklift had been in the roadway, not properly illuminated, and in the wrong lane of travel. 24-year-old Vernon Miller was operating the forklift.
A 2016 Dodge Dart driven by 35-year-old Christoper Textor was traveling southbound and struck the forklift.
Textor was taken to the hospital for immediate medical care. Miller was released from the scene.
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor.
