A Crawfordsville man familiar with authorities in Putnam County is facing a long list of felony charges related to child sex crimes following his arrest in Greencastle.
According to court documents, Casey Clements faces 25 felony charges and one misdemeanor charge and has victims in Indiana and other states.
In 2024, police in Putnam County became familiar with Clements as they investigated the disappearance of a 15 year-old from Greencastle who was believed to have been with Clements. An investigation revealed that Clements possibly provided alcohol and drugs to the juvenile and the juvenile's mother told police she was not aware of who Clements was. The victim also told police she did not know Clements and did not visit him in Crawfordsville.
In another incident, police came into contact with Clements and a 17-year-old female as they were walking at the intersection of U.S. 231 and North Street. They were allowed to leave, but authorities later discovered the female provided a false ID and both were detained later.
Police also received new allegations from a different underage victim in October 2025, who claimed that Clements sexually abused her.
On Jan. 28, 2025, an officer received a search warrant for Clement’s residence in the 200 block of Hamilton Street in Crawfordsville. The following day, officers intercepted Clements near South US 231 and State Road 236 in Putnam County, as detectives believed he was on his way to meet a victim. During a traffic stop, officers found a cell phone belonging to Clements and took it into evidence. The cell phone showed multiple online conversations between Clements and victims where he exchanged child sex abuse material. In addition, there were multiple files uploaded to Snapchat, as well as CSAM images. In total, 281 images of CSAM were found, including nude images victims sent, AI generated images and screenshots depicting CSAM. There was also talk of fantasies in which Clements detailed fathers abusing and raping their children, as well as children and infants being bound and raped, according to court documents.
Police said there were hundreds of videos or photos on the phone and victims ranged in geographic areas, including one from South Carolina and another from Alabama.
Clements faces six Level 4 felony counts of sexual misconduct, four Level 6 felony counts of possession of child porn, 10 Level 5 felony counts of child exploitation, two Level 3 felony counts of promotion of child sexual trafficking, three Level 5 felony counts of possession of child sex abuse material and one Class B misdemeanor charge of furnishing alcohol to a minor.
