The Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a call of a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 31 south of 12B Road in the construction zone on Tuesday, February 11th, at 5:48 in the evening. The accident was in the southbound lanes.
Officers arrived on the scene and learned that a 2025 Lexus RX300 driven by 30-year-old Wei Ge of South Bend failed to yield to traffic before merging. Ge collided with a 2021 Toyota Camry driven by 64-year-old Deborah Spencer of Mississippi.
The Lexus struck the Toyota on the driver’s side in a side swipe. The collision with the Camry caused Deborah Spencer to complain of back pain.
Plymouth Fire and EMS were dispatched to the scene to care for Spencer. The two vehicles remained drivable.
Plymouth Fire and EMS assisted the Marshall County Sheriff's Department on the scene.
