An Indianapolis man, who was driving with a Habitual Traffic Violator license status and at three times the legal alcohol limit, was arrested on May 30. One of his passengers from South Bend had an active warrant.
At about 2:45 in the afternoon Friday, Deputy Bennett with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department stopped a vehicle on U.S. 31 at 9A Road. The driver, 42-year-old Aaron Brown of Indianapolis, had been judged as a Habitual Traffic Violator, and he was suspected of operating while intoxicated.

One of the passengers was identified as 46-year-old Melvin Soloman of South Bend. He had an active warrant for his arrest through Hamilton County.

Soloman was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked for his active warrant. He was held without bond.
Brown was transported to the Plymouth Hospital for a chemical test that showed him to be three times the legal limit of alcohol. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked for operating a vehicle while intoxicated in the presence of a passenger under 18 as a level 6 felony, operating a vehicle as a Habitual Traffic Violator also as a level 6 felony, and reckless driving as a class A misdemeanor and held on a $1,500 cash bond.
The Indiana State Police and Argos Police Department assisted the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.
