Officers with the Plymouth Police Department recently investigated two battery complaints.
Patrolman Enyart was dispatched to Baker and Michigan Street on Monday, May 19th, at 7:45 in the morning because a female said a 10-year-old female was trying to wave down vehicles and stating that she needed help.
During an investigation by the officer, Detective Workman and the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) staff, it was determined that a battery had occurred.
Fernanda Reyes, 29, of the 1,000 block of West Walnut Street, was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where she was lodged for the domestic battery and neglect of a dependent. She was held on a $1500 cash bond.
On Saturday afternoon, May 17, at approximately 2:30, Plymouth Police were dispatched to the Red Rock Inn for the reports of a suspicious male refusing to leave. Officers arrived and identified the male as Anthony Hymas (47) from Pennsylvania.
Patrolman Thornton spoke with parties on scene and was advised that Hymas had battered another subject while in the lobby of the motel. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail at 4:15 p.m. and booked for battery. His cash bond was paid at 2 a.m. on Sunday, and he was released on bond.

They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
