The Christy Fire Protection District has announced it has added a new fire truck to its fleet of vehicles this week.
The new 1459 unit features an 85-foot snorkel which will assist the department in battling tall structure fires and making and assisting in elevated rescues. The new addition expands the resources available to the district and strengthens its ability to serve the community.
The new truck was acquired through the city of Olney and the Olney Fire Department.
