POET Bioprocessing – Cloverdale gives $5,500 to two local organizations. The funds were donated through POET’s 2024 Community Impact Grant Program, which awards grants to a variety of causes throughout the more than 30 communities in which the company operates.
The Area 30 Career Center received a $3,000 grant to upgrade equipment and technology, expand learning resources, update the curriculum, and cover the cost of participation in competitions and events.
Greencastle Middle School was awarded a $2,500 grant to repair their outdoor garden and purchase soil, seeds, and gardening tools for students. The funds will be used towards sustaining the garden and providing more opportunities and spaces for students to work in it.
“At POET, we’re always striving to make a positive impact in our communities,” said Jeremy Jacobs, General Manager at POET Bioprocessing – Cloverdale. “By giving young people the opportunity to learn new and valuable skills, we’re investing in the future. And that’s what POET is all about – creating a future that we’ll be proud to pass on.”
Through POET’s annual Community Impact Grant Program, individuals and organizations are invited to apply for funding for projects aimed at changing their community for the better. The next grant cycle will open in the spring of 2025. For more information, visit poet.com/grants.
