The Putnam County Public Library Archive, the DePauw University Archive, and the Putnam County Museum are teaming up for an Archival Crawl later this month.
“We realized that many people are unaware of the historical collections that are available to them,” remarks museum director Rachel Barr. “Bethany at the DePauw University Archive hatched this idea to bring community members behind-the-scenes and learn more about our collections and the services and assistance that are available to them.”
The three-stop crawl will take place on April 22 and will include a behind-the-scenes tour of each site. The tour will start off at 4 P.M. at the DePauw University Archive, located at 405 South Indiana Street in Greencastle. At 5 P.M., the tour will continue at the Putnam County Public Library Archive, and at 6 P.M., the last stop of the tour will commence at the Putnam County Museum. There will be about 15 minutes in between tours to allow for travel. Attendees are responsible for arranging their own transportation.
Don’t miss this chance to see a behind-the-scenes exploration of these archival collections! For more information, including information on parking and accessibility, please see our website or reach out to archives@depauw.edu.
