Saturday August 10th was the regular season opening day for the 2024 Wabash Valley Youth Football League. Both teams from Lawrence County opened on the road. In 5th and 6th grade play, it was Marshall 8 Lawrenceville 0 and Red Hill won over Olney 16-6. In 7th and 8th grade action, Marshall shutout Lawrenceville 12-0 and Red Hill rolled over Olney 46-0. Both squads will return home to open their home schedules this Saturday August 17th. Lawrenceville will host Mt Carmel at Ed Loeb Field and Red Hill will entertain Robinson at Red Hill Junior/Senior High School Football Field in Bridgeport.
