The regular season ended Thursday night for the Red Hill Basketball Salukis with their fifth straight loss. They were knocked off by the Mt Carmel Golden Aces 61-48 in action at the Red Hill Jr/Sr High School gym in Bridgeport. The Salukis jumped off to a good start in the first half and led by 2, 27-25 at the half, but could not sustain the momentum into the second as the Golden Aces rallied behind the 23 points of Levi Beesley to pick up the win and finish at 11-14. The Salukis finish at 11-19. They placed three in double digits-Hayden Arbuckle with 12, Avery Arbuckle 11 and Lance Moore 10, but it was not enough. The Salukis will now enter into play in the Class 1A Edwards County Regional. They are the 11th seeds and will face the 6th seeded Grayville Bison at Grayville Monday at 7 p.m. The game can be heard on the Legend 99.3 FM and AM 910.
