Triton Central High School junior Zeke Robertson has been named the Beth Prince State Farm Athlete of the Week.
A late touchdown reception from Robertson helped the Tigers upset Class 2A, No. 1 Indianapolis Lutheran 16-13 Friday night, ending the Saints’ 45-game win streak – the third longest all-time according to the Indiana Football Coaches Association record book.
The game-winning score came with 65 seconds left. Robertson, working from the slot receiver position, broke all alone to the side of the end zone and quarterback Sam Collier connected with him just before he went out of bounds.
Robertson’s first touchdown catch of the game, from 10 yards out, came late in the second quarter and gave the Tigers a 10-7 lead at halftime.
