Lyla Wilson had a team-high nine kills to lead Shelbyville to a 25-9, 25-11, 25-21 win Tuesday at Southwestern.
Alivia Lee finished with seven kills, three service aces and five digs. Taylor Abell collected six kills and Addy Marshall had 16 assists.
Shelbyville won the junior varsity match, 25-21, 25-21.
The Golden Bears (1-1) play their first home match Thursday against Columbus North (1-0).
Southwestern (0-5) is at Herron (2-1) Thursday.

At Franklin, Fugate Green scored a goal and assisted on another goal by Moore Aybram to pin a season-opening loss on the Golden Bears.
Anderson Colin was credited with eight saves in goal for Franklin (1-0).
Shelbyville returns to action Tuesday at Martinsville (1-0).
Whiteland 3, Triton Central 0
At Whiteland, the host Warriors scored twice in the opening half and the defense, with goalkeeper Corbin Carver notching three saves, completed the shutout for Whiteland’s first win of the season.
Elijah Wright, Jayden Allen and Cameron Reid each scored goals for Whiteland (1-1).
Triton Central (0-1) is at Morristown (1-0) Thursday.
Girls soccer
Triton Central 6, Warren Central 0
At Triton Central, the Tigers collected their first win of the season with goals from Brynne Aukerman, Madelyn Burnett, Bella Ball, Ariel Walker and Rylee Pruitt.
Cheyenne Allen earned the shutout in goal for Triton Central (1-1).
Warren Central dropped to 1-1 this season.
The Tigers are at Connersville Saturday.
