Plymouth falls to Valley PLYMOUTH - A late rally was not enough as Plymouth dropped a decision to Tippecanoe Valley by a 7-4 score. After six innings, the game was tied 3-3. In the top of the seventh, the Lady Vikings were able to put four runs on the board. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Plymouth was able to get two runners on with two outs. Audrey Himes hit a single to drive Jena Downs in, putting the Pilgrims within three and the tying run at the plate. Unfortunately, they were unable to take advantage of the situation and the game ended 7-4. For the Pilgrims, Jena Downs went 3-4 at the plate with a double and two RBIs. Audrey Himes went 2-4 with an RBI as well. Josie Koontz took the loss on the mound for the Lady Pilgrims. She allowed seven hits, walked none, and struck out two. Grace Allmon pitched in the sixth and two thirds of the seventh.In her inning and two thirds, she allowed four hits and walked one. The Lady Pilgrims will host their first conference game on Monday against Elkhart Memorial.
