Robinson and Fairfield were winners of the girls' and boys' cross country meet held Saturday at the 3-mile Lawrenceville City Park course in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
The Lady Maroons scored 24 points to best Fairfield with 31 in the girls' competition. Junior Emeri Sager of the Lady Mules won the race in a time of 19:51.5. Addison Thacker of the Lawrenceville-Red Hill Lady Indians was second as an individual in 20:07.0 and Lexi Brooke was fourth in 21:19.7. Laurel Buchanon was 12th in 23:43.9.
The Mules won the boys' race with 18 points with Oblong second with 51 and Louisville (North Clay) third with 63. Jason Tingley of Robinson won the race in a time of 17:10.0. For Lawrenceville-Red Hill, Isaiah Fuller finished 17th in a time of 19:45.0 and Dewey Eagleson was 28th in a time of 21:53.0.
The cross-country Indians will compete Thursday, October 1st in the Robinson Cork Invitational Meet.
