The Paris Lady Tigers plated two runs in the top of the third inning and made those stand up in a 2-1 Little Illini Conference (LIC) win Thursday over the Lawrenceville Lady Indians at Phil Alsman Field in Lawrenceville.
The visitors scored 2 runs on 6 hits and made 3 errors while the hosts were held to 1 run on 5 hits and committed no errors. Brina Opat led the offense for Lawrenceville with 2 hits with Elaina Hoke, Allison Evans, and Reagan Ivers each having a hit.
The loss drops the Lady Indians to 6-14 on the season. They will resume conference play on Monday when they travel to Newton.
