The Parkview 8th grade Lady basketball Braves are two games away from a state championship.
They advanced to the Final Four of the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 3A State Tournament Monday with a 22-14 quarterfinal win over Lisle at Germantown Hills Middle School.
The Lady Braves led 6-3 after one quarter, 15-9 at the half, and 20-14 after three quarters and shut out Lisle 2-0 in the final quarter to improve to 24-0 on the season. Cameron Sanders scored 8 points and Taylor Dillon added 6 in the victory.
Parkview will move onto the semi-finals Thursday at 5 p.m. when they will face host 25-1 Germantown Hills on their home floor. The second semi-final will have Downs Tri-Valley (22-2) meet 21-4 Manteno at 6:30 p.m. The winners will play for the title Thursday at 7:30 p.m. while the two losers meet for third at 6 p.m.
